Open Studios 2011

OPEN STUDIOS WEEKEND 18TH & 19TH + 25TH & 26 JUNE

JERSEY’S ARTISTS OPEN THEIR DOORS TO SHOW YOU THE PLACE WHERE IT ALL HAPPENS.

Open Studios 2011 celebrates the wealth of talented artists and makers producing work in Jersey. Now in its fourth year, this event gives you a chance to discover the diversity in the visual arts. You can learn about the artwork and the artist, and have the opportunity to purchase directly from them.

Jersey’s Artists will open up their studios to the public over two weekends – 18th & 19th, 25th & 26th June 2011. Artists taking part include painters, drawers, jewellery makers, photographers, textile artists and sculptors – working in a town studio or a barn in the country. It is a chance for locals and tourists to get an insight into an artist’s life and work.

As well as this – make sure you don’t miss the exciting exhibition at the Weighbridge showcasing all of the artists’ work. Helping you decide which studios to visit.

Open Studios 2011 has been organised by the Jersey Arts Trust and kindly sponsored by HSBC Private Bank.

Come along to the exciting exhibition at the Weighbridge showcasing the work of 48 artists. Always looking to push creative boundaries, this year’s exhibition is housed in shipping containers – an unmissable statement! The exhibition gives you a taster of each artists work so you can decide which artist studios you want to visit.

Artists will also be painting the outside of several of the containers! The exhibition is also accompanied by a great timetable of activities and performance for all to enjoy!
